ABOUT THE POSITION

Cascade Energy seeks a detail oriented self-starting Streamlined Industrial Program Specialist to provide a broad range of support services for our Streamlined Industrial energy efficiency team. Our team partners with vendors to create financial incentives for industrial and agricultural clients, utilizing powerful tools and information which enable users to manage and decrease their energy use. In this role, the Program Specialist will be an integral part of the Streamlined Industrial team, providing continuous vital assistance in the form of data entry, integrity, and quality testing, as well as reporting and retrospective assessment.

This is a full time, hourly position which will be located in our Portland, Oregon office and reports to the Program Manager. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer, route, and monitor incoming communications including phone, email, and fax
  • Order business cards
  • Review and assist participants in rebate application and billing resolution
  • Process and submit rebates, verify amounts, prepare appropriate documentation, and issue payment notification
  • Prepare and expedite project-related documentation. This includes reaching out to customers, vendors, and contractors involved in a project to ensure that documentation is completed as well as proactively help keep projects on track and progressing forward.
  • Maintain a database of projects to ensure accurate details, status, and revisions
  • Carry out a variety of ongoing administrative and organizational tasks (no task is too small)
  • Prepare monthly project reports for internal and external customers, which involves pulling data, analyzing for accuracy and completeness, reconciling inconsistencies, and inserting exported information into monthly reports
  • Communicate and interact with vendors, process incentive applications including reviewing, confirmation with customers and vendors, and verifying eligibility and incentives
  • Monthly invoicing including expense and hour verification and budget tracking
  • Assist with annual and mid-year action plans
  • Respond to general inquiries about programs, incentives, and processes

Required Skills & Experience

  • Displays sharp critical thinking ability and exceptional problem solving skills
  • Focused on strong attention to detail contributing to a thorough understanding of process, numbers, and calculations
    • Management of multiple projects simultaneously, in a time-efficient manner
    • Exhibits superb customer engagement skills.  Engages with internal and external customers, and exhibit strong listening and verbal communication skills (English) 
    • Shows thorough and comprehensive data entry ability
    • Displays a high level of organization and the ability to manage time effectively
    • Strong proficiency with MS Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel skills
    • Capable of productive work both independently and as part of a team environment
    • Takes initiative to be proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills and a results-oriented approach

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree or higher and/or work experience in technically focused, customer-centric role
  • Proficiency with SharePoint


COMPENSATION

The successful candidate for the Program Specialist position will receive a competitive salary (specific amount will depend on experience) as well as excellent benefits.  These include health and vision (90% paid for team member, 80% paid for dependents), FSA or HSA options, life insurance, short and long term disability insurance, 401k retirement plan with both a 3% contribution and a profit sharing contribution, annual performance bonus, (8) paid holidays per year, paid vacation time and paid sick time.
